The Toshiba LC-840WA is an extraordinary piece of vintage technology, a time capsule that transports us back to the era of electronic calculators. This particular model, manufactured in 1981, is a testament to Toshiba's engineering prowess and the technological advancements of that time.

The Toshiba LC-840WA is an auto-calendar crystal calculator, a combination of two essential tools of the time - the calculator and the calendar. The calculator section is equipped with a 12-digit display, which allows for precise calculations. It supports basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The crystal technology used in the calculator ensures accuracy and reliability, making it an ideal tool for both personal and professional use.

The auto-calendar feature is another standout aspect of this device. It automatically adjusts for the number of days in each month, including leap years, and provides a date display. This feature, combined with the calculator, makes the Toshiba LC-840WA a versatile tool for managing schedules and calculations.

The Toshiba LC-840WA is housed in a sturdy, sleek casing. The device is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. The buttons are tactile and responsive, providing a satisfactory user experience. The calculator is powered by a single AA battery, which is easily accessible and replaceable.

It is a piece of history, a symbol of the technological advancements of the 1980s, and a testament to Toshiba's commitment to quality and innovation. Whether you're a collector, a history enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique and functional gadget, the Toshiba LC-840WA is an excellent choice.

Details:

Its a beaut and in very good condition for 45-year-old electronic. Other than that, it is a very clean machine. Purchase comes with calculator/calendar, instruction manual, original box, and 8 button sized batteries that go the calculator. Please reach out with any questions.

Condition wise it has a few scuffs on the back bottom corners as well some scuffing around screws that allow you to take cover off. It is in perfectly good working order. Toshiba manufactured this calculator/calendar in 1981. Someone used a flat tip screwdriver that was bit too large when replacing the batteries at some point.

The box has some fraying and tattering on the top bottom.
