The final oddity is that any number divided by zero will yield a result of instead an error. However, the 804AD is ac powered via a detachable two-wire cord and does not have any batteries inside. All the keys work and have a very nice consistent tactile feel throughout. This item is an Adler 804AD four function calculator from the 1970s in excellent condition and fully functional.

Although the vfd is a green/blue color, indicator for minus single red dot. It also has a unique overflow system. The left side of the display has that reads Bart. All display digits work properly and all have equal brightness.

Maybe its display cover used in common with some other Adler unit that did have batteries. It has a very nice blue/green 8-digit vacuum fluorescent display module with 9th position at the left for minus indicator and overflow. The 804AD has a few strange quirks that make it unique but sometimes baffling.
